Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Kwame Motors. Please read them before you buy or sell.

1. About Kwame Motors

Kwame Motors runs an online marketplace in Ghana where independent sellers list car parts and buyers buy them. When you buy a part from a seller, your contract for that part is with the seller. Kwame Motors runs the platform, receives online payments on the seller’s behalf and, for parcels it carries, delivers them. Parts listed by the Kwame Motors shop are sold by Kwame Motors itself.

These terms apply to everyone who uses Kwame Motors. If you sell, the Seller Agreement applies too.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • One account per person: an email address or phone number can belong to only one account.
  • Keep your details accurate and your password private. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

3. Buying

Check that a part fits your vehicle (make, model, year and part number) before you buy, and ask the seller if you are not sure. Each listing says whether the part is new or used; a used part is sold in the condition described.

Prices are in Ghana cedis. Checkout shows the delivery price for each parcel and the total before you pay. Discount codes follow the conditions shown with them and do not apply to parts that are already on a sale or deal.

4. Paying

Online payments (Mobile Money and card) are processed by our payment partner, Paystack. Kwame Motors never sees or stores your card details.

When you pay online, the seller is not paid straight away. Kwame Motors holds the payment until you confirm you have received your order, or until the return window (7 days after delivery) closes. If you ask to return a part or report a problem, the seller is not paid until it is resolved.

Where cash on delivery is offered, you pay the seller directly when you receive the part, and Kwame Motors does not handle that money.

5. Delivery and pickup

  • Parts from different sellers arrive as separate parcels, each with its own delivery price.
  • Each parcel is delivered by the seller or by Kwame Motors’ courier. Some sellers also let you collect from their shop.
  • When a parcel comes with a delivery code, give it to the courier only once you have the parcel in your hands.
  • Delivery times are estimates.

6. Cancelling an order

  • Before the seller accepts (or while the order is waiting on stock), you can cancel from your orders page straight away.
  • After the seller accepts and before the parcel leaves, you can ask to cancel. The seller has 24 hours to answer; if they don’t, the cancellation goes through.
  • Once a parcel is on its way, it can’t be cancelled. If something is wrong with it, see Returns below.

A seller has 48 hours to accept an order, or it is cancelled. If a part turns out to be out of stock, the order waits on stock for up to 72 hours, during which you or the seller can cancel it; after that it is cancelled.

Refunds for online payments go back through Paystack to the way you paid. If the seller cancels or the part is out of stock, you get back everything you paid for it. If you cancel because you changed your mind, the payment processing fee is not refunded. A parcel’s delivery price is refunded when nothing from that seller is left in the order.

7. Returns

Within 7 days of delivery you can return a part that is:

  • faulty or not working,
  • the wrong part,
  • not as described, or
  • damaged in delivery.

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Ask for a return from your orders page. The seller has 48 hours to accept or decline; if they decline or don’t answer, Kwame Motors reviews the request and decides. Once a return is accepted, send the part back within 7 days (for parcels Kwame Motors delivered, we arrange collection).

When the part is back, you are refunded what you paid for it, plus its delivery price if everything from that seller comes back. For cash-on-delivery orders, the seller refunds you directly.

If something is missing or the problem isn’t covered above, use “Report a problem” on the order. The seller’s payment is held while we look into it.

8. Reviews

Only buyers whose order was delivered can review a part. Reviews must be honest and about the part and the seller. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive or include someone’s personal details.

9. Not allowed

  • Fraud, including fake orders, payments or refund claims.
  • Listing or buying stolen, counterfeit or dangerous parts.
  • Fake reviews, or reviewing your own shop.
  • Harassing other users or Kwame Motors staff.
  • Interfering with the site, or copying its content or data in bulk.
  • Anything else that breaks the laws of Ghana.

10. Our responsibility

Sellers are responsible for the parts they sell and for describing them accurately. Kwame Motors checks sellers’ identities and holds online payments until delivery to protect buyers, but we don’t inspect parts and can’t guarantee every listing.

Unless the law says otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of Ghana that can’t be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell you by email, SMS or on the site before they take effect. An order follows the terms in place when it was placed.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to put it right.
